Greetings Sisters of the Lake Michigan Presbytery,
Our Spring Gathering this year is Saturday, April 16 at Pennfield Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek. The theme will be “The Best Kept Secret of PW.” This program will be lead by Pat Scheid, a PW Leadership Trainer from the Synod of the Covenant Leadership Training. So come and be energized, empowered and enabled to refresh your faith in outreach, worship skills, and fellowship. Childcare is available upon request. Registration deadline is Monday, April 11. The registration form is attached along with information on the personal care and hygiene supplies being collected for two Battle Creek Area shelters – “The Safe Place and The Haven/Inasmuch House. If you have enough items to fill a carton please do so. We will have some cartons there to fill.
The Presbyterian Women Synod of the Covenant 2011 Gathering is
June 24-26, at the First Presbyterian Church in Findlay, Ohio. “Blessed Are They…” is the theme and Chris Wolfe, of the Justice & Peace Committee; Churchwide Presbyterian Women is the keynote speaker. A registration form is included if you or members of you PW are interested in attending.
The Churchwide Presbyterian Women Gathering is July 22-25, 2012 in Orlando, Florida.
Enclosed is a Historian report for you to fill out about your church and return to me Carol Hutton, 2460 Hunters Pond, Kalamazoo, MI 49048 no later than March 25. These reports will be forwarded to the Synod Historian and the PC (USA) Department of History in Louisville. Thanks for you help with this project.
